Credential governance
This standard publishes the rules behind every badge so learners and employers can evaluate the evidence, identity limits, curriculum version and renewal status for themselves.
Credential meaning
Eligibility and prerequisites
Role pathway: readiness results and role assignment determine which tracks are required, recommended or optional. Experience may change pacing but does not waive a safety-critical competency.
Prerequisites: each track publishes prerequisite track identifiers. A credential is not issued while a required prerequisite remains incomplete.
Capstone: the practitioner credential requires the integrated role-based capstone and the evidence named for each step.
Learning objectives
Each track publishes its purpose, audience, prerequisites, observable “able to do” objectives, regulated behaviors, framework mappings, practical exercise and final assessment components before the learner begins. The credential covers only those objectives under the named curriculum version; a general title does not expand the claim to other systems, versions, roles or use cases.

GATE 1
A score of at least 80% on the track assessment.
GATE 2
All safety-critical questions must be answered correctly.
GATE 3
The practical exercise must be completed with the expected evidence recorded.
GATE 4
The learner must demonstrate the record, attribution or audit-trail behavior required by the track.
GATE 5
Where the assessment presents an unresolved or unauthorized condition, the learner must select the correct stop-and-escalate route.
GATE 6
When persistent records are available, the service recomputes badge eligibility from stored attempts and exercise records rather than trusting a browser assertion.
Reassessment is permitted after assigned remediation has been reviewed. Remediation is issued automatically on an unsuccessful attempt. Every attempt is retained when persistent learner records are enabled. The Academy may require targeted retraining, a new practical submission or the full assessment where the failed condition warrants it.
Learners may request a reasonable adjustment to timing, presentation or response format. An accommodation may change how competency is demonstrated, but it does not remove the competency or lower a safety-critical standard. Contact the Academy before assessment.
Identity and verification
The public learning environment uses a browser-held opaque identifier and the display name entered by the learner. Unless a sponsoring organization separately verifies that identity, the public badge verifies the platform record and self-asserted display name; it is not a government-ID verification.
Each issued badge contains a verification code, credential title, curriculum version, assessment standard, issue date and expiry date. Employers should use the public verification route and separately confirm the holder's identity when the employment decision requires it. Organization-sponsored cohorts may establish stronger identity checks by written agreement.
Badges expire after 12 months. Renewal requires assigned refresher work, a reduced competency reassessment and any material regulatory-update training.
The issuer may correct or revoke a record for identity misrepresentation, assessment misconduct, technical error or evidence that the award criteria were not met. The reason and record change are documented.
A learner may request review of a score, identity decision, accommodation, revocation or record error. Include the verification code, disputed decision and supporting evidence.
Learners must submit their own decisions and describe work they actually performed. Source consultation is permitted when an assessment says it is open-resource. AI assistance is permitted only when the assessment explicitly allows it, and material assistance must be disclosed. Impersonation, answer sharing, fabricated evidence and manipulation of a badge record are grounds for invalidation.
