A practice exercise and human review

Version 1.0. Review status: approved. No active credential or qualification is represented.

Fictional exercise: classify four uses

Holiday-cover meeting transcription is ordinarily outside GxP decision-making, provided no regulated information is included. A deviation summary used in batch disposition and an approved SOP rewrite are GxP-relevant. Candidate-molecule screening depends on its intended use and decision context; do not assume that every discovery use is GxP or that none can become GxP-relevant.

Example review record

Reviewer: Jordan Example (fictional). Check: compare intended use, data boundaries and the decision each output supports. Finding: the deviation summary may influence a quality decision; the SOP rewrite must remain a draft until the established document-change review and approval process is completed.

Conditions before proceeding

Define the context of use, use an approved tool, confirm permitted data, retain relevant source and output versions, and apply the organization's required human review and change-control process. Escalate uncertain classifications to the accountable owner.
